Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

Hope you are making your Hanukkah and Christmas lists with LOTS of books on them! You know grownups love to give books. Be sure to explore our Hanukkah feature this week, which has sooooooooo many great books on it! And Happy Hanukkah to all our Jewish friends.

Thanksgiving Books

It seems like this year is going by so fast! It is hard to believe Thanksgiving is this week! We have already made plans for the holiday in my family. My sister, Faye Belle, will have the whole family over for a huge turkey dinner. Our mother will make her famous pecan pie for dessert, and I will bring the vegetables from my own garden. We will eat a big dinner together, and then the little wormkids will tell the others different stories about Thanksgiving.

Each cousin, niece, and nephew under the age of 12 will help tell the stories. They will use several books from our BOOKWORM feature on Thanksgiving. The books there are about Thanksgiving from the past, and the present. My nephew is going to tell the story of being a turkey named Turk. I do not know about you, but I sure would not want to be a turkey in November! Yikes!

Thanksgiving is a great time to reflect on how much our family and friends mean to us and the perfect time to spend time with people we love. Why not start a new tradition and share a Thanksgiving book with one of your favorite people? We've got several good choices in our roundup.
Read about Thanksgiving books.
