Tamara Ellis Smith is a children’s book writer, a mother of two daughters and a son and a trained birth doula. She lives in Vermont in a small town with the most amazing bakery/community center/music and arts venue, and when she is not there writing (and eating!), she is at home with her kids or running on the trail by the river near their house.

Tamara Ellis graduated in 2007 from the Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA program in Writing for Children and Young Adults and has written over half a dozen picture books and two middle grade novels.
